Dora Edith Sánchez-Pothá

Experience

Dora is a highly experienced and accomplished lawyer with a wide range of expertise in legal areas including health law, civil law, health services management and alternative dispute resolution. She has a deep understanding of the legal systems of Panama and Spain and she is skilled in a variety of legal practice areas.

She gained experience working as an official of the Judicial Branch of Panama (civil courts and Second Superior Court, criminal) and of the Panamanian Diplomatic Corps in Barcelona.

Dora is a consultant specializing in the management and prevention of medical malpractice and legal liability in the healthcare industry. She is also a legal advisor to associations of health professionals and the Medical Association of Panama.

Dora is a passionate advocate for education and has included in her career teaching and mentoring students. She is a professor at several universities in Panama, where she specializes not only in educating aspiring lawyers, but also teaches Ethics and Health Law to future medical professionals.

She is also a frequent speaker at conferences for healthcare professionals, where she shares her expertise on a variety of topics, including medical-hospital law, medical malpractice, patient safety and legal risk management.
